Job Description

Serving clients in the best way possible has always been top priority for this company. Therefore, one of their goals is to send orders out as soon as possible to the clients after it has been ordered. As a forklift/reach truck driver, you are responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing and organizing materials in the warehouse. You will use a forklift and/or reach truck to move goods both horizontally and vertically. You will follow safety guidelines and work closely with other team members to ensure that operational processes run smoothly. You are key in maintaining an organized warehouse and deliver the best service for customers. 

You will start as an orderpicker in the warehouse, picking clients items, learning your way around the warehouse and trying Electric Palet Trucks that does not require any certificates. After one month of proven reliability, you will get a one-day training to obtain your forklift or reach truck certificate and thereafter work as a driver in the warehouse. 

You have a high degree of responsibility and independence. The work atmosphere is characterized as open and informal. You will work together with international students and Dutch staff. 

About the company

Work at a large wholesaler of wheels, gas springs and parts of trailers/agricultural machines. The company is located only 9 minutes from Nijmegen central station by bike. You will receive travel cost reimbursement if you live more than 10 km from the company.

Job Requirements

• You see yourself confidently learning and driving a forklift / reach truck
• You like working in a team and take initiative
• You are enthusiastic and reliable
• Available to start as soon as possible
• Available for at least 6 months for 16-24 hours per week
• Living in or around Nijmegen

Hours & Salary

The company is looking for students/graduates who can work at least 16 hours per week. The shift times are: 
Monday to Thursday: 17:45 to 22:00
Friday: 17:45 to 19:30

21 or 21+: €15.07 per hour
20:           €11.44   per hour
19:           €8.58   per hour
18:            €7.80   per hour

After 20:00 you earn 125%, because of the irregular hours allowance.
